Question

Does vaseline clear pimples?

No — Vaseline does nothing for the pimple itself and can make active acne worse. White petrolatum scores 0–1 on the comedogenic scale, so it is technically non-pore-clogging, but its occlusive seal traps sebum, dead skin, and bacteria against active breakouts. Dermatologists use it post-procedure to protect healing skin, not as an acne treatment. For overnight on a surfaced whitehead, a hydrocolloid patch like Rael Miracle Patch, Hero Mighty Patch, or COSRX absorbs the fluid and seals the wound at the same time — Vaseline only seals. For under-the-skin spots, a microdart patch such as Rael Microcrystal or ZitSticka Killa delivers 2% salicylic acid through the follicle. Slugging belongs on dry cheeks, not active zits.
